I created WasteLess.LeaveMore. because I wanted to explore ways we can better steward our Georgia resources. How can we reduce, reuse, repair, recycle & handle true waste wisely?
Raised in Polk County, I grew up calling the beautiful backdrop of Northwest Georgia home. In my op ed in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, I talk about going home to see family and being confronted with a growing mountain of garbage. There was so much I didn’t know about my own trash and how we handle waste and recycling in our state. This content is a reflection of my own journey to understand, and to do better.

A little more about me: I graduated from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in 2008 and went on to work as a journalist in Myrtle Beach and Cincinnati, reporting for local TV stations.

In 2013, I returned home to begin telling the stories of metro Atlanta nonprofits and local change-makers for WSB-TV. I went on to become Community Affairs Manager and led a team that produced our weekly TV program. In 2020, I started my own media creation and consulting company, PLOT My Story, still working almost exclusively with Georgia nonprofits.

I hope you’ll provide feedback, ideas, and insights. We need change at every level if we’re going to WasteLess and LeaveMore for our next generation.
